VHC Health is taking a significant step towards addressing the growing demand for mental health and rehabilitation services. We are transforming 5.8 acres at 601 S. Carlin Springs Rd. into a cutting-edge rehabilitation and behavioral health wellness facility in partnership with Arlington County,. With broad community support, this project marks a decisive move in expanding mental health services in our region, a long-time priority for VHC Health and its Board of Directors.
This state-of-the-art facility will revolutionize healthcare with increased capacity for inpatient rehab services, and a robust range of mental health services. These include dedicated units for adult, adolescent, and recovery & wellness patients, along with five outpatient programs. Additionally, a 14-bed geriatric behavioral health unit will be established on the hospital’s main campus to serve patients requiring a higher level of care.
Together, we have the potential to create an exceptional model of care, deeply embedded within our communities.
Your Support: The Key to Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services
As we look towards breaking ground in late 2023 or early 2024, your philanthropic partnership becomes crucial. Your support will help:
- Expand inpatient rehabilitation services, caring for those with brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurological, and other conditions
- Establish specialized mental health units and outpatient programs
- Continue serving high-need geriatric patients at our main campus
Together, we can make comprehensive, accessible healthcare a reality for those in need.

“I am deeply passionate about the health of this community, and I firmly believe that VHC Health shares this commitment. Mental illness can affect any one of us. That’s why it’s critically important to support our children and ensure they have access to necessary behavioral health resources. Our community aspires to be a beacon for those seeking comprehensive care for mental illness before it escalates into a life-threatening crisis. With VHC Health leading the effort to bring this care to our neighborhoods, we can achieve this.”
